Rafting “Canyon”

Pollino National Park – Unesco Geopark

Rafting “canyon” involves a fun and evocative excursion on the Lao River in the Pollino National Park. The rafting route starts in Laino Borgo, Calabria. After the first 2 km in an inflatable boat, we reach the entrance to the spectacular gorges, which we will travel for a good 14 km surrounded by rocky walls, lush and unspoilt nature, wonderful waterfalls, dense vegetation and small beaches. At the end of this wonderful experience, you will have the opportunity to take a shower and relax at the base equipped with a bar. Here, if you wish, you can request a sandwich or a full lunch based on local and genuine products.

    Information about the activity:

    • LENGTH: 16 km
    • DURATION: 3 hours
    • DIFFICULTY: fun with challenging passages (Grade II – III+)
    • PERIOD: March to November
    • AGE: from 14 years (minors only if authorized)

    The Rafting Center provides the following necessary equipment:

    • wetsuit
    • water jacket
    • Helmet
    • flotation aid device
    • shuttle service
    • use of showers and toilets

    What to bring ( not provided):

    • Swimsuit
    • dry change of clothes
    • showering necessities at the end of the activity
    • shoes that can be used in the water (they will get wet!!)
    • backpack or duffel bag

    Requisiti

    Good aquatic ability, no injuries or illnesses for which the sporting activity could lead to a worsening of the clinical picture.

    The guide reserves the right to modify or terminate the excursion due to unfavorable weather conditions, or due to unforeseen circumstances.
